Dr. Smiley-Marquez offers a 30-90 minute educational program at no cost to community groups. This free program engages participants in assessing their own brain health and provides practical tools for improving, healing and keeping the brain healthy for life.Approaches
Dr. Smiley-Marquez applies a strengths-based approach that is educational, client centered, supportive and solution-oriented. She encourages and expects active participation in and reflection on the process.
She has a multicultural and multilingual background and professional understanding of the dynamics that occur in society, institutions and groups when there are language, race and gender, sexual or gender orientation, age, culture and other differences and extensive experience with diversity, cross cultural communication, conflict resolution, discrimination issues, harassment and violence prevention.
